Century Arms Bullpup AK-47 Rifle

The Century Arms Bullpup AK-47 Rifle is a well balanced weapon that fits comfortably in the hands, and is quick for sight aquisition. The accuracy is descent for the barrel length, and has an adjustable rear windage sight (very similar to the M4/M16A2 series rifle). The front sight post sits very high off of the barrel, and is in good alignment with the rear sight. There is a cheek piece that is mounted by rivets to the chamber cover of the AK, and makes for sight use easy without compromising fundamentals of aiming. There are some drawbacks to the weapon. It overheats very quickly (within 50 rounds). The bullpup configuration makes the removal and loading of the magazine into the well difficult and unwieldy. The only cure for this issue would be to remove approximately 1 inch from the bottom of the grip to facilitate unhindered loading (if your hand is smaller and can do without the bottom of the grip). It is unknown if there is a possible optic configuration that would work with this weapon and still retain the back up iron sight, unless the front sight post is made lower, the rear sight post removed and a rail system added somehow.
